Collection: I AM PATCHWORK SERIES

In the search for the answers to the questions that hunts us all - the journey must always start with one’s self - who, why and what am I. 

Is my ‘I’, the mind, the body, the biology? Is there an ‘I’ that came before the ‘I’? How much ‘I’ is preordained, predefined and predetermined by family, circumstances, luck or status? 

I am Patchwork is a series of paintings exploring the idea of identity rooted in the artist’s own life-long existential crisis propelled by numerous attempted failures at finding a place of belonging and acceptance of who, what and why she is. 

Throughout this series the artist tramstutes feelings of pain, anguish, despair, denial and loneliness into colour, whilst in states of flow.
